Two Opelika , Ala., men shot in Auburn

Two Opelika, Ala., men were shot Saturday after gunfire erupted in the 300 block of North Gay Street, the Auburn Police Division said.

The two men, ages 20 and 24, were treated for what was believed to be non-life threatening injuries at East Alabama Medical Center after the 9:27 a.m. CST shooting.

The 20-year-old was shot in the right leg while the older man was hit once in both legs.

Police said an investigation was underway to search for the gunman.
