Recap: Auburn vs. Vanderbilt

Kedren Johnson scored 16 points and handed out eight assists as the Vanderbilt Commodores earned a 62-55 victory over the Auburn Tigers in a SEC joust at Auburn Arena.

Kevin Bright added 14 points and Josh Henderson tacked on 11 for Vanderbilt (13-15, 7-9) which won its third straight.

Chris Denson scored 16 points as the only player in double figures for Auburn (9-20, 3-13) which has lost 13 of its last 14.

After Vanderbilt held Auburn to just 25.9 percent shooting, including a 1-of-9 showing from beyond the arc, the Commodores led 26-17 at the break. The Commodores shot at just a 33.3 percent clip but hit five shots from beyond the arc.

The Commodores once against nailed five shots from long range in the second half while netting 15-of-19 from the free-throw line to hold on for the win.

Auburn had a sizable 30-10 edge on points in the paint while Vanderbilt had the edge from 3-point range (30-9).
