Parts of Columbus are experiencing heavy rains associated with a severe thunderstorm warning.
Southern Harris County and northern Muscogee County are expected to get most of the rain. It is expected to last for about an hour, leaving windy conditions around 7 p.m.
With the downpour happening near high-traffic times, Ledger-Enquirer photographer Robin Trimarchi reports traffic is slowing to near 30 mphs on J.R. Allen Parkway.
