Bibb neighborhood group seeking artifacts for museum at Comer

The Bibb Village Neighborhood Association is seeking historical artifacts relating to Bibb City and in particular the old Comer Auditorium, according to Rick McKnight, president of the association.

When the Comer Center, as it will be called, opens, the city is considering including a historical exhibit or museum in the lobby of the building. The old gym suffered heavy damage.

Anyone who has artifacts, old newspaper clippings, photographs or other items that might be used can bring them to Porter Memorial Baptist Church, 90 40th St., next Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. Photos will be scanned and returned to the owners.

For more information, call McKnight at 706-575-8900.
