Mollie Russell and Taylor Turner both pitched shutouts Thursday afternoon as Columbus State swept past Ohio Dominican 8-0, 1-0 at Cougar Field.
Russell (8-5) won the opener as she allowed just one hit and one walk to go with five strikeouts.
Kodi Ricketson hit a homer and drove in three runs. Casey Googe and Kristen Carr drove in two runs apiece.
Taylor (4-2) gave up four hits in her shutout to go with eight strikeouts.
Carr drove in the games only run in the first inning on a bases-loaded groundout. Branigan Wix scored after reaching on one her two hits.
