Gas leak causes minor traffic disruption near Mildred L. Terry Library

A gas leak near Mildred L. Terry Public Library caused disruptions in traffic at about 11:30 a.m. Monday.

Police blocked off the southbound lane between Eighth Street and Sixth Street around 11:30 a.m. when a gas leak was reported across from the library. Columbus Police representatives on scene did not know what caused the leak. However, it was fixed within the hour.

A call to Atmos Energy to determine the source of the leak has not yet been returned. More details will be posted as they become available.
