Trash workers found a gun while picking up waste near 12th Avenue and 17th Street Tuesday, according to a Columbus Police Department report.
The workers told police they were crushing trash bags in the rear compartment of the dump truck at about 10:30 a.m. when a gun fell out of one of the bags. The gun was not registered.
The gun was logged into evidence. No further details are available at this time.
