Northwestern's Carmody will not return as head coach

Published: March 16, 2013

Northwestern athletic director Jim Phillips announced Saturday that Bill Carmody will not return as head coach next season.

Carmody, who led the Wildcats to a 13-19 mark this past season, compiled a 192-210 record over 13 years as head coach.

Carmody's teams have been on the cusp of making the NCAA Tournament over recent years, but they never got over the hump. Northwestern has never made the Big Dance.
