A woman's thumb tip was bitten off and another woman's leg injured during a dog fight at Biggers Road Sunday, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

A resident at the home on the 400 bloc of Biggers Road told police she was attempting to feed her 5-year-old black shepard and her roommate's 3-to-4-year-old American Pit Bull when the dogs became combative. She and her roommate attempted to separate the dogs. During the fight, the woman who reported the incident had the tip of her thumb bitten off. The roommate's left leg was severely bitten.

Both animals were quarantined. The two women were taken to The Medical Center.
