ATHENS - It's unanimous: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is the SEC player of the year.
The Georgia sophomore was named this year's top player in the SEC in a vote of Associated Press writers, announced on Monday. Last week, Caldwell-Pope was also announced as the coaches' choice for the conference player of the year.
The last Georgia player to be named AP men's basketball player of the year was Dominique Wilkins, in 1982.
Caldwell-Pope was the only unanimous pick to the all-SEC first-team, which didn't include Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson. (The controversial Henderson on Sunday called the other SEC coaches "losers" for not voting him to their first team.)
