Teen charged with stealing Phenix City, Ala. car

A 17-year-old was charged with stealing a car after a Columbus man reported the stolen vehicle at an apartment complex on North Lumpkin Road, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

Police received information Tuesday morning that the 2006 Pontiac G6 had been found at an apartment complex on the 3300 block of North Lumpkin Road. When officers arrived at about 10:10 a.m., they met with a resident who said the vehicle had been parked at the complex for about 20 minutes.

Terrance Streeter, 17, was later apprehended in the case. Police also found Streeter in possession of a black handgun, which he was concealing in his front right pocket.

Streeter was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, minor in possession of a handgun, theft by receiving stolen property and theft by bringing stolen property into the state. He was taken to Muscogee County Jail.
