Batson-Cook, a major construction constractor in the Southeast and headquartered in West Point, Ga., has a new chief executive officer.

The company said Randy Hall has taken the helm of Batson-Cook, succeeding longtime executive and CEO Raymond Moody Jr., who is retiring but will remain an executive adviser.

Hall, who has served as president of the firm since January 2012, will keep that position as well as CEO and be based out of the company’s Atlanta office.

“I am confident that Batson-Cook Company is in good hands and will be extremely successful under Randy’s leadership,” Moody, who started with the company as an engineer in 1963, said in a statment.

Moody held the positions of executive vice president of construction operations, president and chief operating officer through the years, being named CEO in 2010.

Hall previously was in charge of Batson-Cook’s Atlanta division, overseeing various projects in Georgia and North Carolina. Batson-Cook, which is currently working on the whitewater project and Muscogee Manor in Columbus, was founded in 1915.
