Fort Middle School student arrested after punching 11-year-old

A student at Fort Middle School was arrested Thursday morning after police learned of a fight which took place between two students, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

Officials informed an officer at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday that a student had punched an 11-year-old boy Tuesday, leaving abrasions on the arms and legs. The student was arrested, charged with battery and taken to Muscogee County Jail.
