If you're still trying to remove colored corn starch from your hair, you're not alone.

Thousands of people participated in Columbus' first Color Me Rad 5K race on Saturday. Scattered blasts of colored corn starch hit participants throughout the 3.1-mile course. The local event was part of a national series of races.

The Color Me Rad 5K began at Woodruff Park in downtown Columbus and traveled along Broadway and the RiverWalk. People ran in waves beginning at 8 a.m. More than 4,000 people registered, according to organizers.

The big party came after the race, when participants gathered in Woodruff Park and were hit with additional blasts of color. Here's a look at the action.
