Police searching possible meth lab near Lakebottom

The Special Operations Unit of the Columbus Police Department is on the scene of a possible meth lab dump site at Richards Street and 16th Avenue.

Police Capt. Gil Slouchick said officers were called about the possible site near Lakebottom about 1:30 p.m. “They are taking a look at it to see what they've got,” he said.

The house may be the location of a shake and bake operation for a meth lab.

Police have made no arrests and the investigation continues.
