Daughter attempts to stab mother during altercation on Victoria Drive

A woman attempted to stab her mother during an argument at their home on the 400 block of Victoria Drive Saturday night, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

At about 12:15 a.m. Sunday, an officer arrived at the residence and spoke with the mother. She told the officer that she was in an altercation with her daughter, 19-year-old Tyra Shaw. During the altercation, her daughter stabbed at her with a knife. The mother sustained abrasions on both knees and her right elbow.

Shaw was charged with aggravated assault. She was taken to Muscogee County Jail.
