Recruiting: Georgia lands highly-rated D-lineman

ATHENS - Defensive lineman Dontavius Russell, one of the state of Georgia's top football prospects for 2014, committed to Georgia on Monday, according to

Russell is considered one of the top line prospects in the class, and rates No. 66 in the nationa overall, according to 247sports. which also currently rates Russell the fourth-best prospect in Georgia. He will be a senior this fall at Carrollton High School.

This is the fourth commitment for Georgia's 2014 class. The others:

- Running back Stanley Williams of George Walton Academy in Monroe. Williams, who is rated a four-star prospect in the 247composite, has been committed to Georgia for nearly two years.
- Safety Nick Glass of Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee, rated a three-star prospect on the composite.
- Receiver Krenwick Sanders, a three-star prospect from Wayne County High School in Jessup.
