Update: Judge sets bond for man found with $800 worth of cocaine while walking in the middle of roadway

Judge Michael Cielinski set Antonio Billup's bond at $10,500 during a Wednesday Recorder's Court hearing at 8 a.m. Billup's case will be forward to Muscogee County Superior Court.

A man was arrested Monday night after police found him walking down Dawson Street with more than $800 of cocaine, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

Police attempted to stop 24-year-old Antonio Billup after they saw him walking down the middle of Dawson Street at about 10:20 p.m. Billup attempted to run, and was apprehended at the intersection of Dawson Street and 25th Avenue.

Officers allegedly found 8.1 grams of crack cocaine on Billup's person.

Billup was charged with pedestrian in roadway, obstruction and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. He was taken to Muscogee County Jail.
