Opelika, Ala., girl screams after finding hooded intruder

An Opelika, Ala., girl wasn’t injured early Thursday after she saw by a hooded intruder outside a home in the 1400 block of Branch Street, police said.

The girl was in bed when she felt cold air moving in the room about 2:23 CDT. The girl then looked toward the window air conditioning unit and saw a hooded man standing outside the window.

The girl yelled for her mother after a hand reached through the air conditioner shutter and window. The intruder immediately fled, police said.

Police said the burglary remains under investigation.
