Suspect fractures victim's jaw with pistol near Knox Street

A suspect fractured a man's jaw at the intersection of Knox Street and Cornell Avenue Sunday evening after hitting him with a pistol, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

Police responded to The Medical Center in reference to an assault at about 7 p.m. Sunday. The 17-year-old victim told police that a 30 to 40-year-old black man nicknamed "Hurt" struck him with a pistol, fracturing his jaw. "Hurt" was described as having a dark complexion and a short haircut.

No suspect was arrested at the time of the report.
