A man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana Tuesday after getting into a fight at Value Place on Victory Drive, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

When police arrived at the motel at about 4:30 a.m., they observed Kenneth Terry, 45, yelling at a woman on the second story. The two refused to quit yelling and cursing, despite the fact that several individuals were looking out their room windows at them.

The officer also noticed that Terry's belongings were sitting in the parking lot. When he approached the belongings, he noticed the strong odor of marijuana coming from the possessions.

Police located a blunt wrapper with .5 grams of marijuana, valued at $5, inside a dollar bill.

Terry was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and disorderly while intoxicated. Carol Jones, 49, who Terry was arguing with, was also arrested for disorderly while intoxicated.

Both were transported to Muscogee County Jail.
