A fire on Thomas Street that caused damage to the back porch of a house may have been arson, Fire Chief Ricky Shores said.

Shores said the fire began at 2943 Thomas Street. The fire truck was dispatched at 3:24 a.m.

Although there fire has not been declared arson, Shores said there is a high probability that it was set with criminal intent.
