Woman charged with aggravated assault after hitting another woman with hammer

A woman was arrested Thursday morning after she was charged with hitting another woman with a hammer, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of 27th Street at about 9:50 a.m. after receiving reports of a fight. On arrival, police arrested Delisa Y. Holt, 19, for hitting a 27-year-old woman with a hammer. The victim suffered cuts on her feet, elbows and back, according to the report.

Holt was charged with aggravated assault. She was taken Muscogee County Jail.
