Woman convinces man to withdraw $7,500, gives envelope of fake money at Opelika Regions Bank

Opelika Police are looking for a woman accused of stealing $7,500 from a man at Regions Bank on Gateway Drive, according to an Opelika Police Department press release.

The man allegedly met a woman near Piggly Wiggly who convinced him to withdraw $7,500 in cash from his account. She later switched the money and left the victim with an envelope full of fake money.

The suspect was described as a black woman wearing a yellow tank top and black hair with blond streaks. An investigation is underway.
