Columbus State in sixth place after first round of Peach Belt women's golf tournament

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — The top four teams separated themselves in the Peach Belt Conference women’s golf championships on Saturday.

Lander leads with a 23-over 307, followed by Armstrong Atlantic (309), UNC Pembroke (312) and Flagler (314).

Montevallo is in fifth place at 332, followed by Columbus State (334), North Georgia (340) and Young Harris (410).

CSU, which has been without its top player Kimesha Anthony since February, was led by Madison Williams with a 79, Heather Altiser (82), Ciera Bagler (82) and Kristin Galek (91).

The tournament, which is being played on Callaway Gardens’ Lakeview Course, finishes today with 18 more holes.
