Mississippi State shuts out Auburn

STARKVILLE, Miss. — Auburn was limited to six hits as Mississippi State shut out the Tigers in the series finale on Saturday.

Jacob Lindgren pitched eight innings and Jonathan Holder pitched the ninth for the Bulldogs (32-10, 10-8 SEC). Auburn (24-16, 6-12) struck out 14 times.

Auburn starter Will Kendall (0-5) gave up five runs.

Auburn remains on the road next weekend with a series at Missouri with games at 7 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
