A woman was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine Monday at the intersection of Manchester Expressway and Interstate I-185, according to a Columbus Police report.

Melisa Lynn Andrews, 32, was arrested Monday at about 10:10 a.m. after police found her in possession of .1 grams of meth, one Tramadol pill, two oxycodone pills and a meth smoking pipe.

Andrews was charged with possession of meth and taken to Muscogee County jail.

During a 9 a.m. Recorder's Court hearing, Officer Robert Yates told Judge Michael Cielinski that Andrews was initially pulled over because of an improper tail light and a cracked windshield.

Andrews faced charges of driving with an improper tail light, broken windshield, drugs outside of their original container, two counts of possession of a Schedule II drug, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug related objects during the hearing.

Cielinski set her bond $7,400. Her case will be forwarded to Muscogee County Superior Court.
