ATHENS - The tight end spot has consistently been deep at Georgia, and the team is stocking up there again.

Jeb Blazevich, who will be a senior at Charlotte Christian next season, committed to Georgia during ESPNU's "College Football Daily" on Tuesday afternoon.

Blazevich is a four-star prospect, according to the 247sports composite, which culls the major star ratings. He's the fifth-ranked tight end in the nation, according to the composite ranking. Blazevich, who is listed at 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds, is also rated the nation's 90th overall prospect by ESPNU.

Georgia tight ends coach John Lilly, who not only coaches Blazevich's position but recruits heavily in North Carolina, pushed hard for Blazevich.

"I just loved the coaches," Blazevich said on ESPNU. "Coach (Mark) Richt, Coach Lilly. I just love what they're doing there. They're having a lot of success."

The Bulldogs are due to enter the 2014 season with four scholarship tight ends: Jay Rome, who will be a redshirt junior, Ty Flournoy-Smith, who will be a junior, Jordan Davis, who signed this year, and now Blazevich.

This is Georgia's fourth commitment for the 2014 class, and the second pass-catcher. Receiver Krenwick Sanders of Wayne County High School in Jesup committed last year.

The other two commitments are on defense: Defensive lineman Dontavious Russell of Carrollton High School, and safety Nick Glass of Peachtree Ridge High School.
