May 13: Columbus Community Orchestra, DNR band to honor veterans with concert

The Columbus Community Orchestra will honor the sacrifices of America’s service men and women in a free Memorial Day Concert on Monday, May 13 at 7:30 p.m. The DNR Rock Band, a group comprised of Columbus-area doctors, will be featured musical guests on a special Memorial Day tribute billed as “A Soundtrack to America’s Wars.” "Pops" Barnes, Columbus Council member will offer a special narration of Martin Luther King’s, “I Have A Dream,” speech.

The concert will be held in the Conference Center of Columbus Regional Medical, 710 Center Street and will benefit the Columbus Regional Medical Foundation in their efforts to support a new Pediatric Emergency Room. Veterans are particularly encouraged to attend this concert of pop and patriotic selections. Free admission. Additional information can be obtained at 706-322-3714.
