Saturdays: Uptown Columbus Market Days

April 29, 2013

ROBIN TRIMARCHI Melanie Payne of Bulger Creek Farm in Notasulga, Alabama, describes the variety of goat cheeses that she and her husband Kyle sell at Market Days on Broadway. Each week they bring four soft cheeses and four hard cheeses. This week they featured a chevre, a pecan wheel, a veggie wheel and a dessert wheel - all soft cheeses. The hard cheeses were cheddar, pecan-hickory smoked cheddar, feta and tipsy-feta, which is soaked for two weeks in wine. The Paynes can be found midway on the 1000 block of Broadway. 07.20.13
