CVCC's graduation speaker announced

Special to the Ledger-Enquirer Susan Price, deputy chancellor of the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education, will be the commencement speaker at Chattahoochee Valley Community College's graduation, 7 p.m. May 10 in the Columbus Convention & Trade Center.

Chattahoochee Valley Community College announced Monday this spring's commencement speaker.

Susan Price, deputy chancellor of the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education, will speak at CVCC graduation ceremony, 7 p.m. May 10 in the Columbus Convention & Trade Center.

Price has served the department since 2004. Her previous roles include interim chancellor as well as vice chancellor for instructional and student services.

"We are honored to have Deputy Chancellor Price join us for this occasion and look forward to the message she has for our graduates," CVCC President Glen Cannon said in a news release.

Approximately 200 students are eligible to graduate at CVCC's ceremony next week. The faculty marshal will be Earl Cook, chairman of the mathematics and sciences division. The student marshals will be Devante Smedley and Beverly Safley.
