May 17-18: 'Lakebottom Prime' performed at Springer

"Lakebottom Prime," a prequel to last season's "Lakebottom Proper," will be performed at the Springer Opera House at 7:30 p.m. May 16-18. This is the world premiere by Atlanta actor/playwright Topher Payne, it's about a wedding in the days when Lakebottom Park was actually a lake. It's at the Mainstage on the Springer Opera House, 103 10th St.

Tickets: $35; $30 for seniors; $23 for military, police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel and teachers; $15 for students through college with valid ID.

Pre-show dinner: 6 p.m. May 17-18. $18. The May 16 dinner is sold out.
