Update: Northside-Whitewater baseball postponed to Monday

May 4, 2013

DARRELL ROADEN/Special to the Ledger-EnquirerNorthside's Taylor Harper bunts in the sixth inning, driving in Josh Walker, during Game 1 against Whitewater.

After pushing back the start time twice, officials at Northside and Whitewater decided too much rain had fallen to try and play Game 3 on Saturday night.

The two teams split the first two games in the Class AAAAA series on Friday night.

With the next series starting on Wednesday, the teams were hoping to be able to finish Saturday night and not to have to play Monday. The winner goes to Lakeside-Evans on Wednesday.

The GHSA does not allow games to be played on a Sunday.
