Homemade explosive device found in Armour Road home

A homemade explosive device was found inside a home on Armour Road Monday afternoon, according to a Columbus Police report.

The device was reportedly found at about 2 p.m. on the 5700 block of Armour Road, according to the police report.

Police Sgt. John Crump said the device was reported to police by family members at the home after they found the device in one of the resident's rooms. Crump said it appeared to be partially constructed out of fireworks.

No injuries were reported. No charges have been made as of Tuesday afternoon, Crump said.
