Central shortstop Blake Johnson has been chosen for the Alabama North/South All-Star game.

It will be played at 5 p.m. July 15 in Montgomery at Riverwalk Stadium.

Johnson batted .341 with an on-base percentage of .423. He hit a homer and drove in 22 runs. He also stole 16 bases.

It was announced last month that Central girls basketball player Jimecheia Banks was selected to play in the all-star basketball game. That game will be played on July 17.
