Handguns reported stolen from Hodges Drive home

Columbus police are investigating the report of two handguns being stolen from a home on Hodges Drive.

According to the police report the guns have a total value of $550.

The theft occurred between Thursday at 6 p.m and Saturday at 3 a.m.

The victim, a 45-year-old man, told officers he returned home and the guns were missing from his kitchen drawer and bathroom closet.

He told police the thought his front door was locked but could not be sure about the back door.

There was no sign of forced entry.
