Fire caused $50,000 in damage to home on Pine Needle Court

A fire reported at a home on Pine Needle Court Sunday caused an estimated $50,000 worth of damage, according to the Columbus Fire Department.

Fire Marshal Ricky Shores said fire fighters were dispatched to a home on the 5300 block of Pine Needle Court at about 1:04 p.m. Sunday. Investigators believe the fire was accidental in nature and started in the kitchen. It spread to the attic and caused an estimated $50,000 worth of damage.

No injuries were reported.
