Man charged with interference with government property after theft from two police cars

A man was arrested and charged with two counts of interference with government property Tuesday, according to Columbus Police reports.

An officer was dispatched to the 4900 block of Bruning Street at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday to follow up on a theft from a police car. Another officer was dispatched to the 600 block of Corley Drive at about 6:15 a.m. to follow up on a theft from a different squad car. According to the reports, both cars were entered from the front passenger window. A list of stolen property was not provided.

Robert Youmans Jr., 18, was arrested Tuesday at about 6:15 a.m. and charged with two counts of interference with government property. He was transported to Muscogee County Jail.
