Columbus State to host high school baseball all-star game

Columbus State will host the first Georgia/Alabama Bi-City All Star Game on Wednesday, May 29, at 7 p.m. at Ragsdale Field.

It will be a nine-inning game.

The game is not affiliated with the Ledger-Enquirer's All-Bi-City team, which will be named in early June.

The players on the Georgia roster are infielder Drew Lingo (Brookstone), pitcher Max Williams (Brookstone), pitcher Cedric Brown (Hardaway), outfielder Justin Ellison (Hardaway), outfielder Sheridan Coy (Hardaway), first baseman Mitchell Torbert (Pacelli), catcher Chad Pigg (Northside), pitcher Chase Slocumb (Northside), third baseman Cam Scott (Northside), outfielder/pitcher Ron Shayne (Northside), catcher Hudson Clare (Calvary Christian), shortstop Jacob Ammons (Calvary Christian), outfielder Quincy Wade (Jordan), catcher Taylor Baker (Jordan), pitcher Aramis Armstrong (Jordan), first baseman/third baseman Tony Dalponte (Columbus), infielder/catcher/pitcher Hunter Swilling (Columbus), outfielder Luke Thompson (Columbus), shortstop Ty Edwards (Harris County) and pitcher Will Tillery (Shaw).

The players on the Alabama roster are outfielder/pitcher Uylesses Fluellen (Smiths Station), shortstop/pitcher Marc Skinner (Smiths Station), outfielder Tyler Lynn (Smiths Station), pitcher Kyle Drury (Smiths Station), second baseman/pitcher Austin Whitlock (Smiths Station), catcher Dylan Tomlin (Smiths Station), first baseman Nick Watford (Smiths Station), second baseman Hunter Webb (Russell County). shortstop Trevor Davis (Russell County), centerfielder Anfernee Grier (Russell County), third baseman/pitcher Jesse Nelson (Russell County), pitcher Todd Dial (Russell County), pitcher Austin Thomas (Glenwood), second baseman Tanner Knowles (Glenwood) and catcher Logan Kiker (Glenwood).
