High school recruiting: Carver LB Niemus Bryant commits to Georgia State

Carver High rising senior Niemus Bryant, a linebacker on the football team, committed to play at Georgia State on Friday.

Bryant, who tallied 38 tackles, two sacks and seven quarterback pressures as a junior, is listed as a three-start prospect on Scout.com.

He is the second Carver player to commit in recent weeks, joining rising junior defensive end Mekhi Brown, who committed to play for Alabama on April 6 of this year. Quarterback Jawon Pass picked up his first offer, coming from North Carolina, earlier this week.

Carver finished its first spring practice under new coach Joe Kegler on Friday.
