Hit and run being investigated

The Columbus police are investigating a reported hit and run accident.

According to a police report, the incident occurred around 4:15 p.m on Friday at the intersection of Steam Mill road and Northstar Drive.

A man told police that a someone driving a red car with four doors struck the rear of his girlfriend's 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the rear and then fled the scene.

He said the car had been following that of his girlfriend too closely.

There were no injuries reported.
