Man pulled over for loud music, arrested for marijuana possession

A man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana Monday after he was stopped for loud music near the intersection of Midway Drive and 13th Avenue, according to a Columbus Police report.

Jeremy Woods, 32, was stopped at about 10:15 a.m. after an officer noticed loud music coming from his Lincoln Town Car. When the officer began speaking with Woods, he noticed a small bag in the vehicle's ash tray containing suspected marijuana.

After searching the car, police found another small container of marijuana, a scale and a box of baggies. The total amount of marijuana was 2.4 grams, which was valued at $24.

Woods was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug related objects and loud music. He was transported to Muscogee County Jail.
