The event is open to the public. The silent auction will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a live auction from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Hundreds of items will be available for purchase with all proceeds benefiting victims of domestic abuse. Tickets can be purchased now through June 5 for $10 and the night of the event for $15. For ticket or event information please call Lindsey Reis 706-256-0237, ext. 211 or visit hopeharbour.org.

“Countless items will be available for purchase ranging from beach getaways, UGA football tickets, trips, golf outings, Queen size mattress and box springs, artwork, memorabilia, gift cards, fishing products, and much, much more,” says Board President March Burnette. “It is going to be a wonderful night to raise money for our local domestic violence shelter and support those in need.”

Diane Hett, Executive Director of Hope Harbour, said, “Hope Harbour’s shelter and crisis line give thousands of individuals and families affected by domestic violence the critical support and resources to help them rebuild their lives. Events like Bidding for Hope help drive the funds so desperately needed to help victims of domestic violence move toward safe futures.”

One in four women will be a victim of domestic violence during her lifetime. Much closer to home, last year Columbus police responded to over 4200 domestic violence calls.
