A Columbus woman accused of stabbing a woman in the back Friday afternoon on Holly Avenue is held in the Muscogee County Jail.

Deena Jackson, 28, is charged with one count of aggravated assault and held for a 2 p.m. hearing today in Recorder’s Court.

The 54-year-old victim was treated for a wound to her upper back at The Medical Center and released.

Jackson told police she was upset with the victim and allegedly would kill anyone in her way.

The victim said she tried to run into a house across the street when Jackson chased after her with a knife in her hand. Jackson caught up with her in the doorway of the home.

Jackson was arrested at the scene.
