A gunman robbed a Victory Drive convenience store early this morning after apparently failing to rob one on Wynnton Road less than an hour earlier, according to Columbus Police reports.

The man, described as be 5-9 or 5-10 and 150-160 pounds, wearing dark jeans and a black hoodie with a black scarf around his face and carrying a chrome or silver handgun, tried but failed to rob the Circle K at 2102 Wynnton Road at about 1:50 this morning. Then at 2:25, a man matching that description successfully robbed the Circle K at 3275 Victory Drive.

Anyone with information about the identity of the robber should call the Columbus Police Department at 706-653-3400 or Crime Stoppers at 706-653-3188. If your information leads to an arrest and indictment, you could earn a $1,000 reward from Crime Stoppers. You can make the report anonymously.
