Armed robbers take car, cash, phones from men in Benning Hills

Two Alabama men were robbed at gunpoint just after midnight this morning in the Benning Hills area, police report.

The 37- and 32-year-old men were robbed of about $75 in cash, cell phones and one of the men’s car, a silver 2007 Chevrolet Impala. The car is reportedly valued at about $9,500.

The suspects were described an a dirk-skinned black male in his early 20s wearing army camouflage shorts and a white t-shirt, and a light-skinned black male in his early 20s wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt and a baseball cap.

Neither man was injured in the robbery.
