June 8: 'Rosie The Riveter' program planned for Roosevelt’s Little White House

Learn about the women collectively known as “Rosie the Riveter” who went to work in factories as men left their jobs to fight in World War II during a program 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Roosevelt’s Little White House Historic Site in Warm Springs. Actress and teacher Carol Cain portrays “Rosie the Riveter.” A living history with President Roosevelt reading his D-Day prayer is also planned. Kellys Zeroes, a WWII re-enactor group, will be on hand. Guests can also meet Paul Harless, who served on the USS Potomac and view a special exhibit of WWII uniforms.
