June 8: Expect music, barbecue, ukulele jam at JunkFest Luau

The JunkFest Luau on June 8 combines peace, love and barbecue in the Aloha spirit. Musical acts will include Frakers Farm, Lazy Swamis, Sean Rox, Riley & Rebecca, Bibb City Ramblers, Poanna, Wayne Minor Band, Fiddlers Blues and Copious Jones. Expect an eclectic mix of artists and crafters vending their wares, including the brand new Aloha shack. A drum circle and ukulele jam will take place. The event is 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. at 6020 Buena Vista Road behind Gina's Junk, Thrift & Antiques. Tickets cost $12 for adults ($10 with a canned good donation). Coupons for $1 off admission are available at Papa John's locations in Columbus. Kids younger than 12 get in free, and there will be a kids' art area.
