Man arrested for meth possession near Bridgewater Road

A man was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine near Bridgewater Road Thursday, according to a Columbus Police report.

James Maywald was arrested Thursday at about 3:26 p.m. near the intersection of Bridgewater Road and Miller Road. Police confiscated 2.5 grams of meth, which was valued at $250, and a digital scale.

Maywald was taken to Muscogee County Jail.
