Big Pop's Grocery clerk robbed at gunpoint

The clerk at Big Pop's Grocery was robbed by a masked gunman early Friday on Forrest Road, Columbus police said.

The clerk was threatened with a gun but wasn't injured in the 7:53 a.m. holdup at 5768 Forrest Road.

In a report, police said a man was armed with a pistol when he entered through the front door of the business. The clerk was forced behind the counter and ordered to hand over the money.

The gunman grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. The robbery remains under investigation.

The gunman was described as black and 6 feet tall with a slender built . He was dressed in all black with a black mask.
